- This TLS provides xgrab and xgrabsc release 2.3 for use on ODT 3.0 systems.
- It is untested on ODT 2.0 or prior but i believe it should work on these
- systems as well. The xgrab utilities were written by Bruce Schuchardt.
- They provide screen grabbing and dumping capability in a variety of formats.
- The xgrab utility can be used to capture a portion of the screen and save it
- to XPM version 2 format for later use in conjunction with scologin, scopaint,
- xdt3 and other X11 clients that utilize the XPM2 format.
-
- In order to install this TLS, first download and decompress the file
- tls043.tar.Z (i.e. issue the command "compress -d tls043.tar.Z").
- Assuming you have placed the tar file in /tmp, as root, extract the files
- (i.e. issue the command "cd /; tar xvf /tmp/tls043.tar").
-
- The contents of the tar file are as follows :
- usr/bin/X11/xgrabsc
- usr/bin/X11/xgrab
- usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XGrab
- usr/man/cat.LOCAL/xgrab.LOCAL
- usr/man/cat.LOCAL/xgrabsc.LOCAL
- usr/man/man.LOCAL/xgrabsc.LOCAL
- usr/man/man.LOCAL/xgrab.LOCAL
-
- After installing, simpley type "xgrab" to execute. The xgrab utility is
- a Motif client that acts as a front-end for the xgrabsc utility. In order
- to display the manual pages for each, type "man xgrab" or "man xgrabsc".
- Local system configuration can be tailored by editing the app-defaults file
- /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XGrab or by modifying the resource in your
- $HOME/.Xdefaults file.
-
- This software is provided without warranty and AS-IS. It is not supported.
- Use at your own risk. Back up any files currently on your system that might
- be overwritten (see above contents listing).
